Theme:

Libraries and the Information Society through History

The The Library History Section of the International Federation of Library Associations (IFLA) invites proposals for papers to be delivered at its open session, on 'Libraries and the Information Society through History', at IFLA's World Library and Information Congress, Seoul, Korea, 2006. The Congress runs from 20 to 24 August 2006.

The open session, of 2 hours, will take place at some stage during this event. The date of the open session will be assigned in March 2006.

Papers are invited on any aspect of library and information history.

Proposals in the form of an abstract of 150 words (max.) should be sent by 11 January 2006 to:
