International Expert meeting:
"Audiovisual Material and Heritage"

The Zagreb City Libraries in cooperation with IFLA Audiovisual and Multimedia Section are organizing one-day international expert meeting entitled "Audiovisual material and heritage" that is to mark the UNESCO "World day for Audiovisual Heritage" 100th anniversary of Zagreb City Libraries, City Library, 45th anniversary of foundation of the City Library's Music Department.
The meeting will be held on 26th October 2007 in the City Library of Zagreb, at Starčevićev trg 6.
The topic of this meeting was chosen in order to draw attention to the significance of audiovisual documents in the global digital environment. The significance of audiovisual documents in libraries and related institutions, digitalization as the manner of preserving the audiovisual documents, and audiovisual documents and OPAC will be discussed by experts from Croatia as well as our foreign guests:

- Gregory Miura, Bibliothèque nationale de France, since April, Université Michel de Montaigne Bordeaux 3
