Co-organized by IFLA Core Activity on Preservation and Conservation (PAC), the National Library of France and the Institut national du Patrimoine, the symposium will focus on the long-term preservation of digital resources.

The main goal will be to propose a state of the art thanks to the contribution of the best experts in the field and to enlighten the issues at stake by presenting, beyond the French experience and choices, international realizations.

The first day will be focused on the production of digital data. The second day will be devoted to the process of collecting digital objects and to the Web archiving. The last day will be dedicated to the conservation issues such as risk management, open archives, OAIS, etc.
