The National Organising Committee for the 64th IFLA General Conference would like to thank all participants to the Conference which was held in Amsterdam, The Netherlands from
16-21 August, 1998.
We hope that you have enjoyed your stay in Amsterdam and that you have had the chance to meet many old and make new friends, had successful meetings, enjoyed the professional programme and had fun during the different social events. We sincerely hope that you have been able to visit some of the libraries and information services that had opened their doors to you and have been able to see something of our beautiful city and of our country during the many sightseeing tours.
We would like to thank, once again, all the sponsors, libraries and everyone who have made this conference a success. And of course, we would like to thank you for coming. Without all of you this conference would not have been possible!
It has been a real pleasure to have had you as our guest during the last week, and we hope that you will have a chance sometime in the future to visit our country again.
We would hereby like to wish the organizers of future IFLA conferences the very best of success in the preparation of future events.
